Breathwork started for me before I knew there was a word for the practice. My middle child is neurodivergent and I was really struggling to help him deal with his big feelings. I started looking into mindfulness, more to help me regulate my reactions than for him. However, once I started looking I read about all these amazing breathing techniques that can help regulate a persons nervous system, even a fairly small kiddo. So, at three years old my son and I started breathing together. The most amazing thing happened. It worked! It wasn’t a cure all but within a number of weeks our lives were noticeably different. That same kid is now a third grader and uses his breathing techniques all the time with and without me. This experience made me passionate about helping other parents and children learn to use their breath.

Fast forward several years and my husband and I were on a retreat in Sedona, AZ. While we were there we experienced several healing modalities that leaned hard into the metaphysical and spiritual. One such activity was participating in a private Breathwork session with a really amazing teacher. It was my first psychedelic experience and it was truly consciousness expanding. After that experience I KNEW I was going to learn to bring this amazing breathing to other people. It took me several years and finding JUST the right program. I found that with Breathing Space and my instructor Ben.

Overview of the kinds of Breathwork I teach:

  • Conscious Breathwork means taking pauses between breaths and is great for everyone from preschoolers to adults.

  • Connected Breathwork means you do not pause between exhalation and inhalation and is appropriate for adults.
